--The television sitcom "Just the ten of us" had three Nightmare cast members in it.  Heather Langenkamp, JoAnn Willette, and Brooke Theiss all played in this series.

--The street they filmed Nightmare On Elm Street on is called Lancaster Road, and is located in a small, Californian town.

--Springwood is an actual town.  It's very small, but with a rich industry community.  It looks very similar to the town in the movie.

--A stuntman who was very tall was intended for the role of Freddy Krueger before Robert Englund came along.

--They used Bisquick Pancake Mix in the stairs when Nancy's feet sink into them.

--A slew of celebrities show up in Freddy's Dead. Here are a few examples: Johnny Depp (the guy in the drugs commercial), Alice Cooper (Freddy's foster dad), Bob Shaye (New Line Chairman plays the ticket vendor at the bus stop.)

--Five-hundred gallons of cow blood were used in the scene of Glenn's Demise in the original nightmare.

--The claws on Freddy's glove are each six inches long.

--The idea to name the Krueger character Freddy came from a child hood bully of Wes Cravens.  The idea for the movie came to him after reading some news articles about depriving themselves of sleep due to having bad dreams.  They would end up falling asleep and having such bad dreams that they died in their sleep.

--The pool scene in Nightmare 2 was a mistake.  They didn't realize that Freddy's true power lies in the dream world, and they decided to bring Freddy into the real world.

--Freddy's full name is Fred Charles Krueger

--Freddy was born in February, 1942 in Westin Hills Asylum.

--Freddy's real address is 1667 Elm Street, as revealed in Freddy's Dead.

--The park where Dylan tries to reach god is in Merced, California.

--Tuesday Knight also makes a cameo in the New Nightmare during the funeral scene.  She is the blond seen talking to Nick Corri (Rod) after the earthquake.

--There are movie references to A Nightmare On Elm Street in other movies as well as other movie references in the Nightmare On Elm Street Series.  I have listed some of them below.

--Before Freddy shows his face as the surgeon, the Dr's tag reads: "Dr. Voorhees M.D."

--In the original Nightmare, the words "Evil Dead" are visible on the TV in the background.  There is also a poster of the Evil Dead visible as well.

--In the movie Critters 2, one of the bounty hunters transforms into Freddy after looking at a cardboard cut out of Freddy from Nightmare 2.

--The janitor in Scream was wearing a red and green sweater, a dirty brown hat, and his name is Fred

--There is a Nightmare On Elm Street Homage in the Evil Dead 2.  Freddy's glove can be see hung above the door to the tool shed.

--There are some continuity glitches in the Nightmare Movies as well.  The basement door opens in different directions, depending on the scene.

--The part in Nancy's hair swaps sides while talking to her father after Tina's death.

--The colors in Freddy's sweater are contrasted frequently through the movie.

--When Nancy leaves the house, she is wearing short sleeves.  But when she checks her watch, you can see a sleeve shortly above her wrist.

--The gray streak in Nancy's hair is on the left side of her head in part one.  But, in part three it's on the right. 

--In the original Nightmare, Nancy burns the outer side of her arm on the pipe to wake herself up.  But outside the school when she examines it, it is on the upper part of her forearm.

--When Freddy is pulled into the real world by Nancy, he gets hit with a burglar device, and falls from the top of the stairs.  You can see that the stunt man falls onto a mattress to break his fall.

--In Dream Warriors, before Freddy comes up behind Taryn, you can see Freddy's sweater laying at the bottom of the screen when the homeless man comes towards her.

--In Dream Master, when Freddy raises his hand in the church, only three claws are visible instead of four.

--Also in Dream Master, Alice can be seen walking past a tree holding tickets that she will be given in the next scene.

--In the original Nightmare, before Glenn gets sucked into the bed, the TV station signs off as KRGR (Krueger).

--When Freddy goes to smash the gerbil in Freddy's dead, you can see that he put it in his left hand and snuck it under the table.
